Fazzul Music Part of Mindawn

Continuing to stretch the boundaries of music on Mindawn, we are pleased to welcome Fazzul Music. They bring a collection of very daring releases in the jazz and avant categories that fans are sure to enjoy. We've got their first release up already with another dozen coming shortly.

Mastermind joins Mindawn

We're pleased to welcome prog rock heavyweights Mastermind to the Mindawn family. As one of the premier bands from the New wave of progressive rock in the 90's, Mastermind is making their entire release catalog available online for the first time and we're proud to say they've chosen Mindawn to do so.

Mastermind's 20 year history covers a lot of ground from aggressive, muscular prog rock of old, to blistering jazz rock fusion and powerful melodic prog metal, presented here in full including bonus tracks from their various label releases. The band will also be offering several never before heard digital-only titles from their extensive archives including live concert recordings and other rarities. Sounds good to us. Welcome Mastermind!

Moonjune Records joins Mindawn

MoonJune Records, which came into being in 2001 as the brainchild of entrepreneurial producer, tour manager and promoter Leonardo Pavkovic, is named after Soft Machine drummer Robert Wyatt�s famous 1970 epic �The Moon in June,� has already established a name for itself with �in the know� fans. Its focus is to release internationally-situated music by artists exploring the expanding boundaries of genuine, challenging, non-over-produced music that cannot be easily categorized into any specific format.

MoonJune Records ongoing goal is to support music that transcends stylistic pigeon-holing, but operates within an evolutionary musical continuum that places jazz at one end and progressive rock at the other. The ever-expanding boundaries of these two musical signposts have since come to include everything from jam-rock to the avant-garde, neoclassical, experimental music and more.

Sleaszy Rider Records Joins Mindawn

We are pleased to add this Greece based Heavy Metal label to our growing roster. If you like your Metal Heavy, you\'re going to really love their catalog. Look for it in the coming weeks.

There has been a lot of great buzz about Mindawn throughout the blogosphere lately and we\'ve seen a huge jump in visitors coming from blogs. We\'d like to welcome you to Mindawn and hope you find what you are looking for.

Significant change to Mindawn track preview

One of the only real complaints we had about Mindawn was people didn\'t like having to install our client software to do the full song preview, well, we\'ve finally developed the technology to do this in any web browser in a sufficiently safe manner that we are now launching this new feature. Basically you go to www.mindawn.com and click on any album and you will see a little speaker icon under the column heading \'demo\'. Click on that and a window will pop up where you can play, pause, adjust volume and see the album cover.

Portable Media Players available

These incredible little machines support not only MP3, but our native OGG and FLAC formats as well. They can most closely be compared to an iPod Nano, but with more features and at a lower price. Audio only at 4GB is just $119.95 and 8GB with video is just $174.95. That is from 70 to 140 hours of music in OGG or MP3 format.

We are very pleased to announce that Dee-Jay is joining us with their large collection of 50s /60s Rockabilly and DooWop Music. This brings a whole new style of music to Mindawn for you to enjoy. They've already started to add their collection, so give it a try, we're sure you'll enjoy it.

MALS is a daring label out of Russia that is bringing some unique progressive rock acts to the masses. We have their whole catalog prepped and ready to go, expect to see it all show up this week.
